Health Monitoring System Design Engineering - Wind Turbines

Leistungsbeschreibung

  • To report to the team leaders of the actuation systems and drive train groups as part of the integrated project team.
  • To elaborate according to the planning and quality standards the deliverables of the product development design process: specifications, design reports, calculation reports, validation plans, manufacturing process control plans, etc.
  • Development of the diagnosis / prognosis systems for offshore wind turbines.
  • Definition of algorithms for prediction of evolution of failure modes.
  • To coordinate and collaborate with wind turbine installation and service engineering groups and to support quality department.
  • Identification of potential improvements and development of cost effective and innovative technical solutions.
  • Analysis and assessment of the design, reliability and quality of the supplied products.
  • Participation in the design verification, testing, validation and certification of the mechanical and hydraulic systems for offshore wind turbines.
  • Collaboration for the realization of risk assessments, FMEAs, tests and validation plans.

Anforderungen

  • University degree in mechanical Engineering or related qualification
  • Several years of experience in design and validation / certification of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in analytical and computational calculation of mechanical and hydraulic systems elements: good knowledge of failure modes.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and FMEA.
  • Experience in definition of testing and validation strategies.
  • Knowledge on instrumentation for data acquisition (temperatures, pressures, accelerations, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of techniques and tools for data mining: search for patterns and tendencies.
  • Experience with programming languages: Matlab & C++ preferred and neural networks algorithms desirable.
  • Willing to work very closely to the team members (design, loads, etc.) and the rest of components specialists.
  • Capacity for collaboration with suppliers and industry partners to meet the design to cost targets.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment and to collaborate effectively.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken). German and Spanish are welcome.
